Mini-books

I first learnt about mini-books during my PGCE (1989-90, Manchester Polytechnic – now Manchester Metropolitan University) in Primary Education.  Without a doubt, The Best Event of the 9 months was a 2 hour session by Paul Johnson who showed us how to make books with children.  Ever since I have made so many minibooks, both for taking notes and also getting children of all ages to create their own stories.

I now have a rich collection of works from many places and circumstances.  Many were produced by kids who came to our tent in the Dernekkırı tent city after the 1999 earthquake in Adapazarı.
